So as you may or may not know I'm going to Tulane in the fall! I'm super psyched(: It's down in New Orleans (I may refer to it as NOLA; because that stands for New Orleans, LA; get it? (:
On the way there though the security took my oatmeal! So I had to grab a quick starbucks coffee and oatmeal. And luckily I had some of Justin's Chocolate Hazelnut butter to go(: You should try this new combo I came up with though for the starbucks. I got a latte with one pump of hazelnut and one pump of white chocolate; yumm!
Second day of Orientation (shirt ae)
About to get on the plane; I may have changed into my comfy pajama pants hehe(:
On the way there on one of my planes (I had a layover) We got TVs on the back of our seats! I've never had that before (then again I've never traveled with Delta) but it was nice. Too bad the other three flights were lacking the option of watching the Big Bang Theory (love that show!)
So in other good news I found a roommate, found my housing situation (I applied to this nicer housing so I don't have to share a bathroom with the whole floor! We have a suite that we get to share with two others) and.... I got into this program called the NOLA experience. The "track" they put me in is called Take a Bite (imagine that ;) and we get to tour the city's restaurants, learn about the history of New Orlean's food and drink and take cooking classes! (talk about a perfect match for me)
So woah; this whole college thing is quickly approaching but I'm ready to leave the house. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but we are getting to the point where I need to leave haha.
So here's some other things I found that I liked; check out that video; cracks me up every time!
Your trip sounds really fun! Love the video too, haha, I want that avocado sub! (:
ReplyDeleteThis is so exciting Carly! Entering college is such a wonderful transition, especially in a new place. Glad you had such a great trip!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you Carly :)
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you - I remember when I was in Orientation last year :') Time FLIES! Freshman year was the best year YET and I am sure you are going to love it. Congrats on getting into Tulane!
It sounds like it was a fun Orientation, and all of your eats look delicious.
I can't wait to read more!
Thanks for the sweet comment(: It's nice to have other bloggers that know what it's like to be a freshman; you know so I can ask all my questions haha.
DeleteAahh college seems totally exciting :D!! I think we definitely have similar "airplane" styles :P. But, I am so pumped for you and your upcoming college experiences (which you'll hopefully write more about!!). What is New Orleans like?
ReplyDeleteIn the downtown area it's crazy haha; lots of partying and drinking after 5, but thats just in the "french quarter" which is one part of downtown. Other than that theres lots of shopping, restaurants and where Tulane is at is more of an Uptown area where the people with the money live (crazy huge mansions!) but it's a quirky town which you should definitely come visit; Come for crawfest or jazz fest or something(:
DeleteIt's crazy to think that you're starting your first year of college in the fall and I'm starting my last! It goes super super fast so make sure you enjoy every minute of it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks; i'll try! Congrats on on your senior year, that must be exciting too(:
